"I couldn’t help wonder how someone would find this wee hidden gem of a Gozo holiday farmhouse. There’s a sign at the alley entrance but we seemed to meander around any number of corners before we finally found Ta Guza. Look up the dictionary definition of ‘tucked away’ and you’ll probably see a picture of this Gozo holiday home.
Ok so it’s discreet but that comes with its own advantages. You don’t get much more private and peaceful.
And you don’t have to worry about finding Ta Guza on your own either. The personal meet and greet service we give to all our customers means we’ll be able to take you right to the ‘challenge to find’ front door.
Immediately inside that front door you’ll find thick honeyed stone forming the walls and arches creating coolness in summer and warmth in winter. The living space sparkles to the light from the pool terrace while outside the terrace is surrounded by limestone mosaic feature walls and a classically Mediterranean scene of palm trees beyond.
This Gozo holiday home has the village square within easy walking distance (which is handy because Xaghra is great for evening dining) yet has the feeling of its own space. A great Gozo getaway for those who really need to unwind". Jules
Step inside the front door of this recently renovated Gozo holiday home and you’ll find yourself in the hall facing the central living area. There’s also a family bathroom here. The kitchen is a large homely space with a farmhouse table and seating for 8.
The wide feature stone archway spanning the breadth of Ta Guza connects the lounge and its comfy settees with the idyllic picture pool terrace beyond.
Bedroom 1 with its twin beds sits on the ground floor.
An imposing stone staircase leads to the first-floor landing and two further bedrooms. There’s a family bathroom on this floor for the occupants of Bedroom 2.
Bedroom 2 is a family room with 2 single beds and a bunk bed that’s ideal for 2 young children.
Bedroom 3 has a double bed with a shower en-suite.
It also features a balcony that overlooks the pool and landscape beyond – which makes waking up in here are rather wonderful experience.
The good size pool is made impressively private by high stone walls that surround it topped with Mediterranean shrubs. The sun deck sunbeds BBQ and dining area with its rattan dining set are reached via terrace doors from the lounge.
Xaghra is home to incredible history. The Ggantija Temples are amongst the world’s finest prehistoric buildings and the oldest standing structures in the world and a definite must see on your Gozo holiday.
The village itself is full of surprises. This is a place where caves that are open to the public sit behind or beneath regular Gozitan homes. Best of all the village square is a lovely place for a meal. Its café atmosphere makes a great evening destination and walking the 1.2km from your Gozo holiday home only takes a few minutes.
The nearest beach Ramla Beach is just 2.5km away and Marsalforn the island’s main summer resort lies just beyond.
The nearest bus stop is just 105 metres away from your Gozo holiday farmhouse. Catch the 307 for Victoria and the 322 for Marsalforn.
