“Surrounded by picturesque countryside this home has a fabulous location settled against a backdrop of the lush L-Ghasri Valley.

Inside the front door is a pretty picture of this contemporary farmhouse. Feature limestone hall arches showcase a well-furnished living space, dining area and pool beyond terrace doors.

The reception features a large open stone archway serving as a hatch to the farmhouse kitchen.

The combined living space is gutsy and characterised by natural dark wooden ceiling beams that flow throughout and extend into the kitchen. And the views! Miles of valley countryside and nature are reflected through full length terrace doors stretching the length of the house. The large private pool includes and inviting jacuzzi.

GOZO FARMHOUSE DETAILS

Ground floor:

The large open plan living space comprises of a lounge with large flat screen TV, a long mahogany dining table and a limestone archway into a large and well-equipped kitchen.

You will find bedroom 1 on this floor with a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. The beds are flexible to be double or single to suit guest preference. A family bathroom also compliments the ground floor.

First Floor:

A stone staircase leads you to the first floor with an additional 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 2 has twin beds with an ensuite. A further Double Bedroom 3 and ensuite bathroom enjoys a balcony over the pool.

Also on the first floor is Bedroom 4 with twin beds and ensuite shower room. This spacious bedroom has a desk and chair for those who may benefit from this facility if work steals some holiday time. However, how could you complain as it also has terrace doors leading onto another feature balcony.

Second Floor:

Another stone staircase will take you to the 2nd floor where you will find the 5th Bedroom. This spacious room has twin beds (no ensuite). A lovely private balcony provides exceptional views.

Additional:

All rooms are equipped with Air Conditioning units operated by an electronic coin box on a pay-as-you-use basis (€1 & €2 coins). A screen displays the credit remaining with each AC unit consuming approximately € 2 per night.

Prices exclude the Malta Eco Tax – a requirement by Maltese law to be collected from all guests on arrival. This applies to those age 18 and over and consists of €0.50c per person for each night’s stay, to a maximum of €5 per person for each continuous stay. This is paid in Euro currency only and will be collected by the owner on check-in.

Outdoors:

The outside benefits from a private L-shaped pool with integral steps into it. Distant sea views provide a stunning backdrop.
The outdoor space is well-furnished with comfortable sunbeds and dining furniture. A BBQ is on hand outside and will play a key part in your Gozo holiday.

Village of Ghasri

The village of Ghasri sits amongst the fields and valleys of rural Gozo yet, it's within a mile of Victoria’s commanding citadel and close to one of the best swimming spots on the island. From the terrace, you’ll easily be able to identify Tal Gordan a flat-topped hill with an iconic lighthouse. The famous lighthouse rises 180 meters above sea level and was inaugurated in 1853. Its beam could be seen up to 50 kilometers away. From the hill around the lighthouse, there are marvelous 360-degree views of Gozo – well worth the walk up. It's a must for Ramblers.


From Ghasri village square a road leads to the fabulous valley of Wied l-Ghasri 2.3km away from your Gozo holiday farmhouse. The Wied l-Ghasri area is a marvelous place for country walks or rewarding cycle rides especially in winter and spring. The valley ends at the sea wedged between high cliffs where a secluded inlet makes an ideal spot for swimming, snorkelling, and together with the sea surrounding it, a very popular spot for diving.

On the way be sure to stop at the charming old chapel dedicated to the patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The two shallow bays of Xwejni and Qbajjar are both 4.1 Km away. Next to each other they have small pebbly beaches and rocky stretches that lead to clear blue water. Excellent for swimming they are enjoyed by locals and visitors alike and are popular with divers, especially beginners. You’ll also find a few fishing boats here and a couple of bars and restaurants on the seafront.

The feast of Ghasri is celebrated on the first or second Sunday in June and is dedicated to Corpus Christi. Victoria has two big feasts one in the third week of July and the other on 15 August.

The nearest supermarket is 700m (6- minute walk) and you will find the closest restaurant, Brookies Restaurant and Music Bar, 1.3km away from Levecca 2 (14-minute walk). Grazie Mille, another tempting restaurant is 2km away.

The nearest beach is in the resort of Marsalforn, 4km from the farmhouse (a 10-minute drive)

The capital Victoria, can be found in 3.5km.

Alternatively Catch the 308 bus and it will take you to the centre with its wide range of shops cafes bars and restaurants as well as a wealth of history.

The village is dominated by Ta’ Gurdan (the Gordan) lighthouse which stand at the top of Ġurdan Hill above the village.
