This place has rave customer ratings but when I first stepped inside its unassuming front door I did briefly wonder what all the fuss was about. How could this Gozo holiday farmhouse possibly have 5 bedrooms and all the living space promised? My doubts didn’t last long.
The original hallway with its low stone archways is immensely charming but it was the rays of light at the end that promised even more like a literal light at the end of a tunnel. Excited I hurried to the end of the hall and stepped into a wide open atrium-like space of local limestone and contemporary furnishings. This was the lounge open to the roof space and overlooked by the first floor’s balcony. It gives Tilmun a definite wow factor.
The attention to style and detail is apparent everywhere from the furnishings to the original farming tools that are part art and part reminder of this place’s heritage.
Outside the pivate pool terrace bekons you for a cooling dip. And the prospect of sipping champagne in the Jaccuzi while the BBQ sizzles with local delights is more than appealing. If it wasn’t Gozo beyond the door you could be forgiven for never setting foot outside this place!
Conincidentally we have 3 Gozo holiday farmhouses adjacent to each other – the other two being Majsi and Tal Masklu. Rent them together and you have enough space for up to 30 people ideal for Gozo wedding parties or other large family celebrations.

Bedroom 1 is also on the ground floor. It has an en-suite bathroom but there’s an additional family bathroom on the ground floor that’s ideal for the living area and pool terrace.
First floor
Here bedroom 2 has a double bed and feature stone archway with curtains that charmingly conceal the en-suite shower.
Bedrooms 3 and 4 both have twin beds and en-suite showers with bedroom 3’s stone shower room a particularly lovely feature.
Second floor
A second limestone staircase takes you to bedroom 5 with its twin beds and en-suite shower. The second floor of this Gozo holiday farmhouse has an office room with a futon that can sleep a couple of additional children adding to the capacity without compromising comfort.
Ground floor
The light spacious lounge is open to its oak roof beams high above and feels practically hewn from stone. The room is well furnished with a flat screen TV and sofas. A stone archway leads from here to the smart and well equipped kitchen with dining table.
First floor
A feature stone staircase leads to an open plan first floor landing that overlooks the lounge.
The spacious terrace includes a BBQ and dining furniture. The pool is a good size with a feature Jacuzzi and lighting to make evenings outdoors especially inviting.
Gharb
Gharb is one of the island’s oldest villages. It is surrounded by two villages San Lawrenz and G'asri and the sea.
The closest beach - Dwejra - is just 2.5 km away. The nearest food store is a short drive (1.6 km) while the nearest restaurant Ta' Salvina is just seconds away. For a wider choice of restaurants head to St Lawrenz where Ta Jeffries Tatitas and Grazie Mille provide plenty of options. There is also a snack bar in Gharb’s main village square.
Victoria the island’s capital is just 3.5 km away by bus. Use service 312 from the stop a couple of hundred metres away from your Gozo holiday home.
