If you visit the Cittadella Cultural Centre in Victoria right now, you’ll see an exhibition of works created during Art Camp 2015, an arts initiative that saw 13 international artists come together to, as Minister for Gozo Anton Refalo puts it: “Transmit the values of peace in the Mediterranean by getting people engaged in a dialogue with arts and artists."
In 2017, Art Camp will return bigger and better than ever, with artists from every EU member state collaborating with local artists to encourage Gozo to immerse itself in art.
The event will be the cultural centrepiece of Malta’s EU Presidency and a temporary artists’ village will be constructed on the island.
Gozo has long been the perfect base for a painting or sketching holiday. Visit next year, and you’ll have a wealth of professional support and inspiration to help you.
