It really is my favourite time of year on the island, warm enough so that it feels like a proper Mediterranean holiday; quiet enough to make you feel that you’re the only one here. The other big advantage, of course, is choice and price. Come the height of summer, Gozo villa and farmhouse owners don’t have any trouble filling their accommodation, and because demand (roughly) matches supply, you won’t find many discounts to be had in July or August.
