Gozo’s biggest and longest-running festival is back. And it’s free!
This year, the Victoria International Arts Festival turns 20. Since its first edition, the event has established itself as a distinctive voice in the arts, bringing together concerts, exhibitions, master classes and specialist talks for a culture loving audience of Gozitans and holidaymakers that grows bigger every year.
This year’s festival takes place between Tuesday 6 June and Monday 10 July 2017 and will include 37 concerts in an international programme featuring big bands, bigger orchestras, soloists, choirs and a cappella groups. 20 countries will be represented and over 600 performers will be taking part.
Best of all, every concert and cultural event is free!
The 5 week cultural binge (think of it as the Proms with more sunshine) will once again open and close with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Prof. Joseph Vella, Artistic Director of the Festival.
