“The impression of this 5-bedroom farmhouse is striking on entrance. An iconic resemblance of the original farmhouse, carefully re-enacted and brought entirely into this century. The classic restoration of this traditional home is effortlessly combined with comforts we enjoy today.

Built entirely of local limestone the entrance pays homage to the original working mill. An impressive picture of wide stone ceiling arches features throughout, toward an arch into the living area. Traditional mosaic tiles also enhance the tapestry of Kalanc.

Beyond here, the farmhouse just keeps rolling into a long lounge and spacious dining area. And still, the farmhouse ventures on. Through terrace doors we can’t possibly miss the expanse of pool terrace with its idyllic backdrop of countryside that eventually meets the Citadel.

This 5-bedroom holiday home can accommodate 14 guests as two bedrooms each have four twin beds. These are particularly suited to young families and groups. To complement sleeping arrangements, the extended footprint of living space is well-apportioned for 14 guests.

The lounge occupies a good length of the house with a flat-screen T.V. There is an additional settee in the dining area also.

A modern kitchen is well equipped to serve both dining areas. Inside and immediately through large doors to the pool terrace.

Here on the ground floor, you will also find Bedroom 1 with twin beds and a bathroom adjacent in the hallway.

Proceed to the first floor where Bedroom 2 has a double bed and ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 3 has four twin beds and a bathroom adjacent. This is shared with Bedroom 4 which has twin beds.

Up a level to the second floor is Bedroom 5. Another with quadruple twin beds and an ensuite bathroom.

Twin beds can be made into doubles on request.

The architecture of bedroom accommodation on three levels has been carefully designed to retain space, convenience and offer premium comfort.


All rooms are equipped with Air Conditioning units operated by an electronic coin box on a pay-as-you-use basis (€1 & €2 coins). A screen displays the credit remaining with each AC unit consuming approximately € 2 per night.

Prices exclude the Malta Eco Tax – a requirement by Maltese law to be collected from all guests on arrival. This applies to those age 18 and over and consists of €0.50c per person for each night’s stay, to a maximum of €5 per person for each continuous stay. This is paid in Euro currency only and will be collected by the owner on check-in.

Terrace doors open immediately onto a large terrace with dining furniture and sunbeds. The pool measures 7.5 x 3.7 meters and is surrounded by miles of countryside. These views continue for miles into the distance, reaching the Citadel in Victoria.

A well-equipped BBQ with serving space is perfect for cooking al fresco and unwinding, in the day's sun.

Village of Kercem

With a population of only 1,700 people, Kercem’s peace and tranquillity are practically a given. The closest beaches are Xlendi Bay (4km away) and Dwejra Bay. The latter is where the famous Azure Window proudly stunned visitors worldwide until it collapsed into the sea. The site still attracts many visitors and is popular with divers.

The closest restaurant (Greens Sports Bar) is located 500m away whilst you will find a few smaller bars and cafes, approximately 100m.

There is a local grocery shop in 200m with the nearest supermarket (Ta Dirjanu) located in 500m

The vibrant resort of Xlendi Bay is the closest beach in 4km. where you will find a number of popular seaside restaurants

The capital of Victoria is located 1.5km away (for those of you who enjoy walking, it will take up to 15 minutes).

Alternatively, hop on Bus No. 313 to Victoria from the bus stop 1km from the farmhouse.
